Our Story

During 2018, the church decided to open up the parsonage for use by Pastors and families of United Methodists in Missouri. Since 2011, the parsonage had not seen much use as the pastor lived in Branson and drove out to work. So, the parsonage was used periodically, was used for church gatherings, especially at Christmas, but in 2018 that would change. The upstairs would be made ready for outsiders use by august 1. The dedication was July 29, 2018. In the process of opening the home, the name was changed to “Janice’s Ministry House”.

During 2019 it was decided to finish the basement so we could house larger groups. It was right after that the work began to provide a meeting area with TV, a game room, a second game area, 1 ½ baths, and two dorm room which had three bunk beds each. The Covid-19 virus put some barriers in front of us, but little by little the work began. Actually the pandemic provided time for volunteer workers to put up walls, ceiling and flooring along with all the wiring and plumbing that went along with the big project.

As of July 1, 2021 we are open to United Methodist Pastors and families from 5 surrounding states to come and enjoy the Ozarks. Our donation system makes a family vacation very affordable.

Look for the information on Janice’s Ministry House on this Website and come join us by reservation in summer, fall, winter or spring!
